Year 9 Walsingham Pilgrimage Trip

Start of our pilgrimage and welcome at Walsingham. 

Lighting of candles in the shrine. This is a replica of Mary’s house in Bethlehem.

Our tour of churches in the village. Methodist church from the 17th century. 

Orthodox Church which was an old railway station. 

The Roman Catholic Church rebuilt in 2006 as an eco-church. 

Students blessed with the holy water. Miracles have taken place throughout history at this special well. 

Additional pictures of our tours and prayers read for the war in Ukraine. Plus an original stone taken from Mary’s house in Bethlehem.

Our Y10 English students combatting the iWord Challenge, followed by studying Romeo and Juliet in preparation for their Literature exam. In this lesson, we were considering the character Romeo and how his extreme emotions drive him towards his tragic ending.
