Meet The Governors

"Originally from Southampton, I’ve spent the majority of my career immersed in education in beautiful Cornwall. I was head teacher of a primary school in Bude on the stunning North Cornwall coast and later worked as a Local Authority Advisor for assessment, followed by ten years as an Ofsted inspector — experiences that gave me a deep insight into how schools can truly flourish. Before joining the Redbridge governing body, I served as Chair of Governors at another primary school, and I’m delighted to bring my passion for education and school improvement to Redbridge. Outside of school life, I’m married with three grown-up children and six wonderful grandchildren who keep me on my toes!"

"I’m the Headteacher of a local primary school within the Redbridge cluster, with over twenty years’ experience in education. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a governor in three different schools, giving me a broad perspective on what makes a school community thrive. I’m passionate about ensuring every child in our community has access to the very best education and opportunities to succeed. With my background and experience, I’m keen to strengthen links between our primary and secondary schools, helping to make the transition for pupils as smooth and positive as possible."
