This week, our Year 9 Geography students had an exciting field trip to Lulworth Cove, where they explored the stunning coastal landscape and learned about geological formations. Unfortunately, students couldn’t make it to the iconic Durdle Door, as a famous American actor was filming at the site!!
Despite this unexpected turn of events, students embraced the opportunity to deepen their understanding of coastal geography and the natural environment. They engaged in discussions about erosion, sedimentary rock formations, and the impact of tourism on these beautiful landscapes.
The trip reinforced our school values of excellence, opportunity, learning, aspiration, and respect, as students demonstrated curiosity and adaptability throughout the day. Overall, it was a valuable experience that sparked enthusiasm for geographical studies and appreciation for our natural world.
We look forward to more enriching outings in the future!
