As part of their studies on food webs and ecosystems, our Year 9 GCSE Geography students took advantage of a perfect hands-on learning opportunity last weekβpond dipping in our newly built wildlife pond! πΈ
This practical activity allowed students to investigate the variety of wildlife living in and around the pond, helping them to better understand the complex relationships within ecosystems. Equipped with notebooks, pencils, and measuring tools βοΈππ, the students eagerly collected data and made detailed observations.
The wildlife pond not only supports local biodiversity but also serves as an excellent outdoor classroom where students can connect their theoretical knowledge to real-world environments. This experience has enriched their understanding of ecological interactions and the importance of conservation.
We are proud to offer such engaging learning opportunities that bring science to life for our students! π
