Our Year 9 students have shown incredible creativity and progress in their recent art lesson on portrait drawing.
The session began with a quick iKnow5 starter activity, where pupils sketched portraits on smaller sheets to demonstrate their natural approach before any formal teaching on proportions. Following this, they explored key techniques for drawing accurate facial proportions and features.
The difference was remarkable. Within just two hours, students were able to apply their new knowledge to create larger, more detailed portraits that clearly showed their rapid development.
Their dedication and enthusiasm were evident throughout the lesson, and we are extremely proud of what they achieved in such a short space of time.
