Year 11 students recently took part in a Raising Aspirations Day, designed to inspire ambition and encourage them to think about their future pathways.
The trip offered an insight into what university life might be like, while also giving students the chance to explore a wide range of career possibilities. Through interactive games, they discovered the key skills needed for different professions and worked on refining their own elevator pitches to confidently present themselves. Students also set personal goals for the year ahead, thinking carefully about the steps they can take to achieve them.
A highlight of the day was a creative activity where pupils wrote their goals on paper airplanes before flying them β a symbolic reminder of aiming high and taking their ambitions further.
The event was a fantastic opportunity to build confidence, develop skills, and raise aspirations, leaving students motivated and excited for the future.
