We Will Not Forget — Redbridge School Remembers

At Redbridge School, we will join the nation in remembrance as we honour all those who gave their lives for our freedom. This week, our school community will come together to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of those who have served — and those who continue to serve — in times of conflict and peace.

At 11 a.m., our school will gather in silence, standing side by side in respect and gratitude. In that quiet moment, we will remember the bravery of those who fought, the families who waited, and the lives forever changed by war.

As we pause to remember, we renew our promise: we will not forget. We will carry forward the lessons of the past and honour the values of peace, unity, and compassion in all we do.

🌹 We will remember them. We will not forget.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
