What an incredible experience at the Mayflower Theatre last week to see Swan Lake by Matthew Bourne, celebrating its 30th anniversary! 
The performance was absolutely mesmerizing – a perfect blend of artistry, emotion, and breathtaking choreography. 
Thirty students had an amazing opportunity to participate in a workshop on Monday, where they got a behind-the-scenes look at the repertory being performed by the professional dancers. 
Seeing their hard work and the repertory come to life on stage was truly inspiring! 
Following the show we had a chance to have a ‘tech talk’ with some of the production crew and cast. 
We were able to watch how the show is ‘called’ by the show caller for the opening of the lake scene. It was eye-opening to the behind-the-scenes processes.
