Redbridge New York Scholarship Winner

Redbridge New York Scholarship Winner 🗽✈️ Congratulations Eli S!!!!! 🌟👏

In February 2026, Redbridge Community School’s Maths Department will be organising an unforgettable three-night residential trip to New York City 🇺🇸. This incredible opportunity will allow students to immerse themselves in the culture, history, and financial hub of one of the world’s most iconic cities.

The itinerary is packed with enriching experiences, including a Liberty Island Cruise 🚢, a visit to The 9/11 Memorial and Museum 🕊️, an exploration of The Mathematics Museum ➗📐, and a hands-on Wall Street financial experience 💰📊. In the evenings, students will enjoy breathtaking views from the Empire State Building 🌆 and witness the magic of Broadway 🎭✨ with a live theatre performance.

🎓 The New York Scholarship – A Life-Changing Opportunity 🏆

As part of our commitment to making this opportunity accessible, the Maths Department proudly introduced the New York Scholarship, covering the entire cost of the trip for one outstanding student. The scholarship was open to all students in Years 7-9, and applicants had to meet the following criteria:

✅ Submit a personal essay on “How this trip to New York will impact your goals and aspirations.”

✅ Complete all SPARX homework assignments 📚

✅ Demonstrate positive behaviour in Maths ➕

🏅 Selection Process:

Once all applications were received, students were shortlisted based on behaviour points, attendance, SPARX completion records, and the strength of their personal essay.

The shortlisted applications were then anonymized and reviewed by a panel of judges, who made the final decision based on merit, creativity, and passion.

We are delighted to announce that 🎉 Eli S 🎉 of Year 7 has been awarded the prestigious New York Scholarship! 🗽🌟👏 Congratulations! 🎊
