Our Guinea Pigs Settle into Their New Runs at Redbridge

The Redbridge animal care team has been hard at work ensuring that our beloved guinea pigs have the best possible living environment. Their new runs are bigger, safer, and full of stimulating spaces for the guinea pigs to explore — and it’s clear that the animals are happier than ever!

We are also thrilled to welcome two new male guinea pigs to our school community. Students and staff are already excited to meet them, and we are inviting the school community to help name our new arrivals. Suggestions can be shared via our social media channels or sent to the school office.

Caring for the guinea pigs is more than just a fun activity. It teaches our students valuable lessons in responsibility, empathy, and teamwork. Our animal care team at Redbridge takes pride in ensuring the welfare of the animals while giving students hands-on experience in animal care and welfare. It’s a wonderful example of learning beyond the classroom and the many ways students can engage with and contribute to the life of the school.

We look forward to sharing more updates and photos as our guinea pigs continue to settle into their new homes and the animal care team grows their skills in looking after our furry friends.
