Students at Redbridge School were treated to a sensational musical showcase this lunchtime, as the canteen transformed into a vibrant Live Lounge — celebrating talent, courage, and school spirit.
The event, organised by the Music Department, saw student performers take to the stage, including two debut singers who received an overwhelming cheer from their peers as they stepped into the spotlight for the very first time.
We would like to say a huge well done to Kenzie A, Brooke C and Matilde DF for their perfect showcase of soft power ballads. The Live Lounge highlighted the exceptional musical talents across year groups and underlined Redbridge’s core values of Respect, Opportunity, Aspiration, and Excellence. Each performance was met with warm applause, creating an atmosphere of encouragement and unity.
Mr Spall and Miss Wilcocks praised the event: “It’s inspiring to see our students supporting one another and seizing the opportunity to perform. This is what our department — and our school — is all about.”
The lunchtime event not only showcased budding talent but also reinforced the value of aspiration—giving students a platform to express themselves and aim high, while building respect and admiration among peers.
