Today, our Year 8 Able Linguists took part in an engaging and thought-provoking session focused on where studying French can take them in the future. β¨
Students who have chosen French as a GCSE option explored the many opportunities that learning a language can offer in both higher education π and future careers πΌ. Through independent research π§ , they discovered how French can be a key advantage in exciting fields such as international business π, diplomacy ποΈ, tourism βοΈ, translation π, journalism π°, and engineering π οΈ.
They also found out how universities value language skills and how combining a language with other subjects can open doors to competitive pathways in areas like law βοΈ, medicine π©Ί, and politics π³οΈ.
The session encouraged students to think beyond the classroom π« and consider the global possibilities that come with being multilingual π£οΈ.

Weβre proud of the enthusiasm and ambition shown by our Year 8 linguists today, and weβre excited to see where their language journey takes them next! ππ
