Today, our Year 8 Able Linguists took part in an engaging and thought-provoking session focused on where studying French can take them in the future. ✨
Students who have chosen French as a GCSE option explored the many opportunities that learning a language can offer in both higher education 🎓 and future careers 💼. Through independent research 🧠, they discovered how French can be a key advantage in exciting fields such as international business 🌐, diplomacy 🕊️, tourism ✈️, translation 📚, journalism 📰, and engineering 🛠️.
They also found out how universities value language skills and how combining a language with other subjects can open doors to competitive pathways in areas like law ⚖️, medicine 🩺, and politics 🗳️.
The session encouraged students to think beyond the classroom 🏫 and consider the global possibilities that come with being multilingual 🗣️.
