On Thursday 3rd July, Redbridge Community School proudly took part in the Southampton Dance Festival, a vibrant celebration of dance hosted at the beautiful Sixth Form Theatre at Bitterne Park School.
The event brought together eight local schools in a showcase of creativity, talent, and community spirit. Each school performed a unique piece that highlighted the joy and power of dance across Southampton.
Our students performed an outstanding routine titled ‘Step in Time’ from Mary Poppins, impressing the audience with their energy, skill, and professionalism. Their enthusiasm and teamwork truly embodied the spirit of the event, leaving a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.
🎭✨ “We are incredibly proud of our dancers,” said the school’s Performing Arts team. “They represented Redbridge with confidence and passion, and their dedication to rehearsals really paid off on stage.” ✨🎭
We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the parents and families who came along to support our performers. Your continued encouragement plays a vital role in our students’ success and growth in the arts.
Events like the Southampton Dance Festival highlight the importance of creative expression and community collaboration — values we hold close at Redbridge Community School.
Well done to all involved! 👏🖤
