“I personally enjoy being at Redbridge. The one main reason is that the teachers are happy to interact with you inside and outside of lesson. This allows you to form bonds with teachers that can be carried through all of the years that you spend studying in the school. “My favourite things about Redbridge consists of, the broad variety of options to choose from for your GCSE’s which include: Photography, Construction, Drama, Textiles, Art and more. I like this about Redbridge because most secondary schools don’t have this variety of classes to choose from. Our Schools facilities are also like no other schools as we have a gym suite, climbing wall, Astro turf for football, a garden and basketball area. Redbridge offers fun after school clubs such as Dance club, Art club and Football. One of my other favourite things about Redbridge is how we reward you for attendance and good work by having fun days which include: Party in the park where we bring in fun fair rides to the field behind the school and you get sweets and ice cream, we also have Winter Wonderland where we have an ice rink, hot Chocolate with candy canes and also an inflatable slide. Our school offers great school trips even abroad to Italy and France, also trips to go camping too. However if you want to see these rewards there’s pictures in our schools magazine called The Bridge which keeps parents updated on school trips and other events. There’s also some movie days our Student Leadership Team organises, with snacks and fizzy drinks. These movie nights normally take place after school and there’s a survey vote on what movie we all watch so it’s fair.”

“Initially this wasn’t my first choice for secondary school, and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t sceptical; However I’m so glad this was the school I got into. Redbridge gives its students every opportunity to succeed and flourish, not just academically but in every aspect of life. The teachers are kind, yet strict enough to ensure we do all the work that is set and learn everything that’s necessary. Furthermore, I think most students will agree when I say the rewards offered by Redbridge are incomparable to other schools in Southampton. Overall, I know this school has offered me more opportunities than anywhere else, and I know that it’s because of this school that I will succeed in life and achieve all that I intend to.
