Curriculum Overview

The curriculum at Redbridge Community School is the ‘bread and butter’ of our everyday teaching and learning. We teach a traditional academic curriculum with bespoke pathways tailored to meet individual needs.

Key Stage 3 follows the national curriculum across the range of subjects and is taught over the 3 years of that Key Stage and the lessons taught are detailed below.

Students can immerse deeper into favoured subjects at the end of Year 8, but do not drop any of the national curriculum subjects.

Key Stage 4 is taught over 2 years in preparation for GCSEs. The immersive work undertaken in Year 9 begins to develop deeper knowledge and knowledge application on the building blocks of a robust Key Stage 4 curriculum.
